Our Mission

The staff, membership, board of directors, and financial supporters of the Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus are committed to the following mission:

The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus exists to provide high-quality professional performances as expressed through the time-honored tradition of male choral music, in order to affirm the contributions and advance a positive image of the gay and lesbian community within the community at large. The Chorus strives to provide a sense of inclusiveness, unity and pride in our audiences as well as in our membership.

While the wording has been refined over the years, the intent of the AGMC's mission has never changed.  Through high-quality musical performances, the AGMC does more than entertain – it also educates by demonstrating that gay men do not fit a stereotype, and their talents benefit and enhance society.
