Become part of Atlanta's premier gay arts organization!

The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus is an auditioned, all-male, volunteer choral ensemble and we are actively seeking male singers eighteen years of age or older of all cultural backgrounds and abilities.  The organization is committed to fostering an environment of professionalism, respect, pride and unity. Members are welcome regardless of sexual orientation.  Current and past membership includes residents of Alabama and South Carolina, in addition to Metro Atlanta and nearby Georgia cities.

Auditions are by appointment only and are surprisingly painless!

** Note that our fall auditions are now concluded. We will hold auditions again in January for those who wish to join the AGMC for the winter/spring concert cycle.  Watch this page for future announcements about auditions.

Audition Requirements

Those auditioning should prepare no more than one minute of a song of any musical style, either with or without accompaniment.  You will be asked to participate in a vocal warm-up as well as light tonal memory and music learning exercises.

Other Information

Rehearsals are held most Thursday evenings from 7:30-10:00 p.m. at the First Metropolitan Community Church on North Druid Hills Road at I-85.  Additional rehearsals are usually scheduled during the week preceding each concert.  The AGMC performs a minimum of three major concert series each season, and makes several more special appearances throughout the year.  Membership dues for the full year are required, but scholarships are available based on need.
